How does Sculptra work?

Sculptra is made up of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) with lactic acid as the main ingredient. Once Sculptra is injected, it restores wrinkles and hollowness in two different ways. First, it provides immediately volumization by filling in wrinkles and and depleted areas. The initial result is not as dramatic as it would be with other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. But the real result with Sculptra comes as the molecules stimulate the body’s production of collagen to thicken the skin and restore volume over time. This increases the skin’s resiliency to aging and gravity in general. Results are typically achieved within the first few Sculptra treatment sessions though up to 4 sessions may be needed for full improvement.
